Palama Settlement Mustangs Win PAL Islandwide Volleyball Championship

The Palama Mustangs concluded their season 12-1, winning the PAL Central Honolulu title at Sale Lake Gym on June 23, 2018. They followed up their accomplishment with a title at the PAL Town and Country Classic, defeating a volleyball team from Kaneohe.

The members of the winning Mustang team are: Krysten Dacua, Kili Hanakahi, Leisea Kovaloff, Jestany Luhia, Mia Maiava, Melina Nardo-Mugutatia, Motu O’ Salaia Salavea, Isabella Simmons, and Carmela Tokumoto. They were coached by Rosita Nardo and Neil Nishikawa, with assistance from Pakolea Youth Specialist Tamatoa Silva.

We would like to congratulate Palama’s Pakolea Volleyball Team, the 2018 PAL Mustang Honolulu Central District and Town and Country champions!

Summer Coding Classes for Children Ages 7-12

Is your child interested in learning how to code? Would your son or daughter like to create their own videos or games? Then sign them up for our FREE Video Game & Cultural Storytelling Class!
Coding classes at Palama Settlement will run from June 16-July 21, 2018 on Saturdays from 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the Henry & Colene Wong Computer Center. Students will learn Scratch, a free programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations, developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Classes are taught by Twiddle Productions, a local animation, production, and multimedia studio. This is a great way to introduce your child to computer coding in a fun and friendly environment.
