BE A PART OF OUR
PARTY
At the Blackfield Youth Activity Center & Dining Hall
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, 3:30p
Nearly 60 youth participated in our Mardi Gras Party. All learned the brief history of what Mardis Gras is, then enjoyed mask making and hunting for chocolate covered coins (in place of beads). The boy and girl who found the most were crowned the King and Queen of Mardis. That honor went to King Russell Angken, age 11, and Queen Christina Tago, age 9. Both are students at Likelike Elementary School. Since the day was also “Fat Tuesday”, kids enjoyed feasting on malasadas.
