REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF
PALAMA SETTLEMENT PROPERTY
(Honolulu, Hawaii, October 15, 2014) – Palama Settlement announced today its Request for
Proposals (RFP) for the redevelopment of its approximate 7 acres located in Kalihi-Palama. The
118-year old social service agency plans to redevelop its property in metropolitan Honolulu so
that it can continue to provide programs to youth, seniors and families in recreation, athletics,
education, and community services.
“Palama Settlement is looking to maximize its land assets so that we can better serve the
community,” said Wendy Abe, executive director of Palama Settlement. “The Board of Trustees,
staff and volunteers have been working diligently to ensure that the future of Palama Settlement
continues to be a vibrant community resource, and the redevelopment project is a big part of
that vision.”
The deadline for the submission of Notices of Intent to Propose is December 15, 2014. The
