Community Services supports those living in the neighborhoods surrounding Palama Settlement, including those who reside in Mayor Wright, Ka‘ahumanu, Kamehameha, and Puahala Homes. Many of those we help are part of the new immigrant wave from Micronesia including children, families, and a large segment of home-bound elderly.

Program assistance includes:

  • Meeting basic needs including food, clothing, household supplies and goods
  • Navigation of various government and agency systems including housing, welfare, healthcare and health insurance, education, the judiciary and juvenile justice
  • Development and implementation of community and individual empowerment initiatives, such as employment, financial literacy, community safety and more
  • Cultural education
  • Enrichment activities

Our Emergency Food Pantry is OPEN for drive up, contact-less food pickup. Please call (808) 848-2529 to make an appointment.

On the day of your appointment, please:

  1. Arrive on time
  2. Wear a mask
  3. Do not get out of the car

Our staff will meet you at your car and load the food into your trunk.

We are located at 810 N. Vineyard Boulevard, Honolulu, HI 96817. Please pull into the half driveway immediately after the bus stop in front of Palama Settlement. A staff member will stop you and check you in, before directing you to park so staff may load food into your car.

How you can help

We accept donations of canned food items that are not past expiration date and new household goods. At the holidays, we also accept new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0-12. If you are interested in volunteering with our program, please email
