Some of our keiki took a field trip to the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum to explore how submarines have been used from World War II through the Cold War and into today. They learned how submarine technology developed over each era and discovered how sailors use desalination to turn salt water into fresh drinking water at sea. The day ended with a tour of the USS Bowfin, a real WWII-era submarine!
