The Learning Hub at Palama Settlement is a free educational support program designed to help K–12 students thrive academically. With personalized tutoring, flexible drop-in hours, and supplemental resources, we aim to empower every student with the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Free Drop-In Tutoring for K–12 Students

The Learning Hub is here to support your child’s academic journey. Our experienced tutors provide individualized help in core subjects like Math and English—completely free of charge. No appointment needed—just drop in during open hours!

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Wednesday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Saturday & Sunday: Closed

FAQs

Do I need to register my child?

No, tutoring is drop-in. However, first-time visitors may be asked to fill out a quick intake form.

Is tutoring one-on-one or in groups?

We offer both. Students often receive one-on-one attention depending on availability, and may also benefit from small group learning.

Can students get help with homework?

Absolutely! Our tutors are available to assist with assignments, test prep, and concept review.

Is tutoring available in other subjects besides Math and English?

Currently, we focus on core subjects. Additional support may be added based on student needs and tutor availability.

Land Acknowledgement
Palama Settlement stands on the Native Hawaiian ancestral lands of Kapālama and Honolulu. We acknowledge that in 1893, Queen Liliʻuokalani yielded the Hawaiian Kingdom under duress to prevent bloodshed. We honor the generations of Kanaka Maoli whose knowledge systems and lifeways continue to steward the ʻāina, wai, and lewa, protecting the lāhui to this day.
